In the Beginning...
There was an artist. After many years, paintbrushes and crusty paint pallets, filled sketchbooks taking over half the basement, and tears, a decision was made. I have made the leap to not sheltering my creativity but instead standing naked (metaphorically) and letting it all hang out. Terrifying, I know. This comes with many joys, but also with your boyfriend asking you "why does he have cloudy with a chance of meatballs shoes on?". Man, I don't know, the person commissioned me asking me for those shoes (they did in fact not ask me for that). Regardless, I am taking a step into a light that feels right for me. I wanted to hold myself back because I was so afraid of failure, and feeling like I was in control felt more important than actually taking the steps to be in control. I want to take this as an opportunity to see myself succeed. I want to share with those who mean the most to me and also those who may be across the world.
In this blog I shall take you with me as I dabble in my creative skills. I do commissioned portraits as well as creating my own art. I plan on creating a manga in my free time while I practice realism skills through portraits. I also do fiber arts, and occasionally paint/bleach clothing. I am excited to keep creating, and I am grateful I realized art has always been more than just a hobby for me. Soooo I think you should probably join me. I swear it'll be pretty cool if you do.
Till next time,
Sea ya later
